"In my experience, the company has no problem if you need to start work a little later in the day or work part-time. I stopped working 37 hours a week when I had my children, and I’ve continued with this schedule, even though the kids are now actually old enough to take care of themselves. In return, I too can be flexible for some periods and I’m prepared to do overtime – not through the night – but enough to make sure I complete my tasks.
